Let Us Pray

Lord God, let us enjoy this holy time of the year, but help us to keep the real meaning of Christmas in mind, the celebration of  Your Son’s birth, which transformed the world. May we remain eternally grateful for the gift of Jesus and that our eyes be opened to the ways in which He continues to be active in our lives. May we always welcome Jesus as Lord, true light of the world. As we come to worship let us bring a song of thanks in our hearts, a song of redemption, a song of hope and renewal. Let us share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, the worship of the wise men and be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, and the peace of the Christ child. We pray for joy in our hearts, hope in our lives, and peace upon the earth. Lord as we celebrate the Christ child as your ultimate gift may our homes be filled with love, happiness and the blessings of this holy season. Amen
