Ivana Clark –Vertical Challenge Snapshot Writing
As the thought of finishing the exhausting feat came to mind, I saw a view. The view was lush and colourful. Houses in the distance were peeking through ancient trees that crowded a steep cliff trying to catch a glimpse of the beautiful golden sand that lay under the cliff; way further than any wave could reach. Safe and sound.
Dillan Trinh – Canoeing
There was no sea but there was a shant.
Though one sang so nor chant.
No lash or pull nor sweeping wave tides.
Only beads of reeds, tough like leather hide.
Three buccaneers surrounded by reed mellows.
With the enlistment getting them for the gallows.
By end they looked for host
but their ship grew lost as well as their chant.
Sports Report
We have had a fantastic term of PE and sport across all levels at St. Augustines!
Cross Country: Last week we had a group of students compete in the Divisional Cross Country competition at Brimbank Park. The contest was tough, the weather was freezing and all runners did an outstanding job given the conditions! Congratulations to Lara Pavlovic, Clara Tadic, Ruby Huggard, Marcus Afedzie, Oliver Boulton, Tyson Monaghan and Cody Monaghan. We had 4 students progress onto the Regional finals and we wish Ruby, Oliver, Marcus and Cody all the best as they compete this week. AFL Victoria: We have been lucky enough to have representatives from the AFL come out to our school to run football clinics during PE time. It has been a fantastic opportunity for all students to learn and practise basic AFL skills such as kicking and handballing. Our younger students have also found out about the Auskick program which is a great stepping stone before joining a club.
Football & Soccer Gala Divisional Gala Days: Selected senior students participated in both football and soccer gala days earlier in the term and due to their success in both of these sports they have progressed onto the next level of competition. These teams will compete in the District gala day this coming Friday. We wish them the best of luck and hope that they have a great day competing!

Student Reporting
Summative reports are provided twice a year at the end of each school semester and are only one part of the reporting process. The reports provide a clearer picture of your child’s achievements. They will help you understand how your child is progressing and how to support your child’s future learning.
Semester One Reports will be available for you to view and download via the Parent Portal next Monday 20th June. Login details and instructions will be sent to you via email to access your child’s Reports.
Instructions on how to access the nForma Parent Portal will be sent out to the email addresses that have been previously supplied to the school. These emails will be sent out to the email address that we currently have on file at the front office. Unique user names and passwords will be sent out with the instructions.
It is very important that you have updated your email addresses with the school, as an automated email containing instructions and login details will come from no-reply@nforma.com.au and not the school. Please ensure that you check your junk/spam folder for an email from that address. If you have changed your email recently or need to update your email address please email your details through to office@sakeilor.catholic.edu.au
It is highly recommended that you use a computer to access your child’s reports.
* Please note that Prep students receive a modified report in June. They do not receive Achievement scores (Dot Points) for Semester 1 as they have only been at school for 6 months. Achievement scores will be shown at the end of the year on the Semester 2 report.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Student Reporting also consists of Parent Teacher Learning Conversations. These will take place next Tuesday 21st June. To book a time to meet and discuss your child’s report and their goals for Semester 2 please log onto School Interviews Code: en69m.
If you have a PSG (Program Support Group) meeting for your child you are not required to book an interview time as a time has already been made for you to meet with your child’s teacher and Trish Walsh (Learning Diversity Leader)
If you have a child in 12T the availability for PT Interviews is slightly different with Interviews being allocated across 2 days. Availabilities are: Tuesday 21st June 12.30- 4.30pm or Thursday 23rd June 4pm- 6pm.
